MARKET RESEARCH Managerial Summary In order to find out whether the users of SoundCloud are satisfied, we conducted a one- sample T test and found out that most of the users are satisfied. Then we ran a chi-square frequencies test to figure out the relationship between genders and the time that they are spending on using music streaming apps daily. We learned that both males and females have very usage rates, both spending more than 30 minutes on music streaming apps daily. At the end, we ran a chi-square frequencies test to see which aspect of the SoundCloud app is important for the users. We found out that the responses were very similar and that all the aspects are important to the users. It is interesting to see that most answers are very even and the results that we got couldn't explain why people are satisfied. The results generated appear to be the result of a research objective that was too broad and a poorly written survey. Statement of Research Purpose and Objectives Soundcloud is an online music and audio streaming platform. The most compelling feature that makes Soundcloud different from its competitors is that it allows musicians that we can't find in another music platforms to upload their productions for free for other users to listen. Based on our own experience, we agreed that the user interface of SoundCloud is not user friendly, and their requirement of a subscription to listen ad free as a deterrent. For our project, we would want to know whether the users of SoundCloud are satisfied with the music streaming service. For the alternative hypothesis we would state that we expect most of the users are satisfied with SoundCloud. Data Collection and Data Entry: Data collection was done through an online survey, constructed on Qualtrics. This was our method of collection for we felt that it would be the easiest way to collect our required 100 responses. Additionally, as we figured that most SoundCloud users would be from a younger demographic, the online survey would generate more contribution and a higher response rate.
