"Are you a stock or a bond"? The argument is that your human capital will have the similar characteristics of a stock $($share$,$ i$.$e$.$ more variable$/$risky$)$ or a bond $($less variable$/$certain$).$

So when investing be mindful of whether your human capital risk is already high or low and whether your financial investments are making this higher or lower.
