As a leader, I can help further my organization's diversity narrative by first ensuring everyone understands the definition of diversity and inclusion. Doing so will enable the team to learn about other cultures, experiences, and journeys. I can also help coworkers explore issues they believe will be barriers to inclusion in the organization allowing the organization's environment to build upon the thoughts and ideas of all working within. I can lead by example and respect and value the opinions and beliefs of all individuals within the
organization. As a leader, understanding that acceptance of all cultures and backgrounds will drive business and create an environment of inclusion, I can focus on enriching each employee's knowledge by addressing any existing biases.
