As a probation office community liaison to the city and having to provide guidance for what programs that would work for youth from having repeat offenses, it is important to know the community and having a good grasp on what programs have been used in the past and what is being used presently and looking at the overall success rates of those programs, evaluate what worked and what didn't work and try to take the positives and add them to a new program so that there will be more opportunity for success
