As I have learned, minors generally lackcapacityto make a contract.In other words, people under the age of 18 cannot be bound by a contract.They have the legal right todisaffirma contract after it is completed, and require the other party to the contract to give back what was exchanged (theconsideration).

The exception to this legal rule is that minors do have the legal capacity to make contracts for what are called necessaries (food, shelter, clothing, etc.).
