Our program is to deliver a system for the US Department of Defense. Our contract requires us to "maintain the SOI current state (i.e., "as-is") and target state (i.e., "to-be") architecture information using DOD Architecture views." It also requires "...continuous assessments regarding the alignment with other DOD architectures."
The LSE just asked me to bring her some options and a recommendation for which DODAF views would be best for our SOI development. What the heck is DOD view?
Please send me some advice in the form of two paragraphs about how to attack this problem. I would appreciate a brief discussion about what a view is and how to figure out which to produce. Also, briefly explain why our architecture needs to align with others in DOD? I don't have much time, so please limit your response to two paragraphs minimum.
I have to get the LSE her recommendation asap.
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
The Intern
