As you know, our company BLAW HOLDINGS, has many subsidiaries and is involved in many different ventures across a wide array of business lines. We have had some issues come up with our subsidiary IT'S ALL MINE, LLC, which is involved in copper mining and related products in the region. One of our longtime supervisors has let us know that some of the new hires are not very respectful of her and her authority. She has filed her first complaint on one of the workers. Generally, the employees of IT'S ALL MINE are about90%male and can be a little "rough". What are some risks that a work environment such as this can pose to the company? Also, what are actions that IT'S ALL MINE can take to avoid potential issues and claims against the company? Also, IT'S ALL MINE has been working with I'M WIRED UP INC., which creates high-tech cabling. IT'S ALL MINE has negotiated a lease for I'M WIRED UP and our president was a signer on its bank account. The president of IT'S ALL MINE arranged for contractors, advertising and equipment purchases. When it came time for tax reporting, it was IT'S ALL MINE's belief that there was a partnership between IT'S ALL MINE and I'M WIRED UP. I'M WIRED UP's accountant is not preparing the tax return with both as partners, thus, IT'S ALL MINE may lose some of its tax benefits. Is there a partnership? Why or why not? What can we do to resolve this?
