The accountant at Herberton Ltd prepares a monthly bank reconciliation. On the 31st March 2021 the cash at bank account balance per the accounting records was a debit $ 3,290. The bank statement received from CBC Bank showed a credit balance of $10,830. A comparison of the bank statement with the cash payments and cash receipts journal revealed the following information:

i. Unpresented cheques were no. 562 for $1,590, no. 579 for $3,110 and no. 580 for $2,930

ii. In reviewing the cheque payments, a mistake was discovered on cheque no. 574 for the payment of advertising expenses. The amount of the cheque was for $3,510 but was recorded in the cash payments journal as $3,150. The cheque amount appeared correctly on the bank statement.

iii. The bank statement included bank charges of $240.

iv. A credit of $2,960 appeared on the bank statement which was for a note collected by the bank on behalf of Herberton Ltd. The note included interest of $460.

v. The cash receipts journal included a deposit of $2,450 which did not appear on the bank statement.
