ASM Limited, located in Priory St. Ann, manufactures a variety of seasonings and spices and has been in operation since 2003. Their manufacturing process includes the preparation of raw materials and all refining processes to deliver products of a high standard. In December 2022, Leroy Stewart, a senior production worker fell from a ladder in the storage room. The investigation revealed that because of minimal storage, a large portion of the inventory is stored on top of containers and as such, employees are expected to use a ladder to retrieve them. The accident was reported to Premium Insurance Company (PIC), who visited the location to conduct their investigations.

Upon their visit, the lead investigator Oliver Samuels requested to view the companys safety policy, and at that point was advised there was none. The report from PIC also revealed that there were a number of hazards that required immediate attention. The organization was given ninety (90) days to develop, communicate and implement a Safety Programme. Based on the urgency of the situation and minimal resources in the Human Resources Department, your team of safety consultants have been invited to submit a proposal for ASMs Safety Programme.
