ASSESSMENT 2 - STUDENT INFORMATION This information is to be handed to each student to outline the assessment requirements Part A: Following from Assessment 1, you are to specifically request from your supervisor (your assessor) all financial reports necessary in order for you to monitor the FIRST month's financial activities of the Cafe and compare it with your budget allocation. This request must be made via email directly to your supervisor. Part B: Once you have received your requested financial documentation, you are to review the information provided and compare the actual spend against the allocations authorised in Assessment 1. For any variations / budget deviations identified you are to identify the cause, and consider improvement options to ensure the initial budget is adhered to. You are to submit a detailed report that includes The budget review Variations / deviations including reasons (you may need to arrange a time to meet with your supervisor to determine reasons) Recommendations (if required) to ensure expenditure is within allocation, Recommendations (if required) for more effective management of variations / deviations A modified budget (if required) that provides a more reliable reflection of actual expenditure in consideration with your findings Once completed, you are to arrange a time to present your review (as outlined above) to your supervisor. Be sure to justify your amendments clearly, as your supervisor may ask questions to identify the logic behind your allocations
