Question 1: Data Management (File: CARS 1993) 10%

You are trying to apply for a job as a consultant. The hiring company gave you a dataset a client has sent over. The company wants you to perform a data audit to ensure the data is received and understood properly before analysis.

Outcome: A data audit report consisting of the followings:

1. Metadata description
2. Descriptive statistics
3. Your observation, commentary and/or questions you would like to find out about the data from the client

Submission:

Prepare and export the report as PDF. Submit the PDF under the Assignment 1. Dont forget to add your name/id. You are also required to present item 2 and 3 using PowerPoint. The evaluating team will see your presentation first and then the report.

Question 2: Hypothesis Testing (File: BIRTH) 10%

A dataset of baby birth weight is provided for this question.

Investigate relationship between the variable "weight" and other variables (does weight vary with other variables) using T-test where feasible.

Submission:

1. Presentation slides using PowerPoint with your findings from your investigation for a non-technical audience (No more than 4 slides). Export the presentation as PDF to be submitted (30%).
2. Technical deck of Data Audit (30%) and Details of your test process with sufficient explanation to back up your claims (40%). By details I mean provide statistical evidence to support your claim, you cannot simply write a statement without proof.
