Subject: Request for Assistance with Application Revision
Dear Associate,
I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for your help with the job application! I am writing to request your assistance in reviewing and revising an application that Mr. Butterscotch sent me yesterday for my input. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected illness, I am unable to provide feedback to Mr. Butterscotch today, and I urgently need your expertise to help make necessary changes. Here is the employment application from Mr. Butterscotch.Download Here is the employment application from Mr. Butterscotch.
As you know, Mr. and Mrs. Butterscotch are in the process of expanding Butterscotch Bakery to Connecticut, and Mr. Butterscotch has taken the initiative to draft an application form for potential employees. However, there are several questions which seem inappropriate, and I believe your input and revisions would greatly benefit the application.
Additionally, Mr. Butterscotch has heard that a lot of people in Connecticut like cocaine, and he is very concerned about hiring individuals who may consume cocaine. He would like to be able to subject all applicants to drug testing prior to issuing any offer letters to applicants. Can he add a provision in which employees agree to submit to drug testing prior to being offered employment? If not, what can he do regarding drug testing?
Please ensure that the application drafted by Mr. Butterscotch adheres to all relevant laws and guidelines, including those specific to Connecticut. The application form also needs to be clear, concise, and easy for applicants to understand. It's crucial that the application process reflects professionalism and transparency.
As counselors for Butterscotch Bakery, we need to be committed topromoting equal opportunity in the hiring process. Your expertise willhelp ensure that the application does not contain any language or questions that could inadvertently lead to discrimination of any kind, including gender, age, race, ethnic, and religious discrimination.
Given the urgency of these matters and my inability to attend to them today, I kindly request that youreview this application thoroughly and make any necessary changes to align it with best practices and legal requirements. Please make sure to explain in detail why you are making the recommended changes to the applicationso that I can pass that information along to Mr. Butterscotch.
Thank you for your prompt attention to both the drug testing question from Mr. Butterscotch as well as revising the application draft that he sent to me. I appreciate your understanding and willingness to assist during my absence. Your contributions to these important tasks will undoubtedly help us serve Mr. and Mrs. Butterscotch in their expansion efforts.
Warm regards,
Christine Leavitt
