Assignment 2: Instructions Assignment
The Assignment: You are a cybersecurity advisor supporting a high-ranking, in-house, corporate client (i.e. a VP of a non-IT function). Your VP client didnt act quickly enough on your initial advice and now their cybersecurity risks have turned into issues. In an effort to undo some of the damage that has resulted, your task is to prepare a set of easy-to-understand instructions for their working-level team members and front-line supervisors. Following the culture created by their VP, your new clients are also impatient and irritable, and they still have a limited grasp of the importance of cybersecurity.
The aim of these instructions is to persuade (and communicate easily to) the team members on how to use a new (10-15 step) technical process. You may develop instructions that are related to the advice you provided in assignment 1, or you can develop them on an unrelated, cybersecurity process. This assignment does not require original research.
To keep them engaged, you will need to: limit your instructions to 1-page; number each of the steps; include an informative title; create at least 1 diagram; use 3-4 colours; and, keep the language professional, non-technical and engaging. Do not be condescending to your target audience.
