1. Concept

It is defined as the design of the scheme in which the variables and how they will be treated in the study. It is usually represented in a mathematical scheme. Where symbolization synthesizes the relationships of the variables, and how they will be measured through the statisticians or mathematical models.

Although methodologists have different approaches to the definition of design, the "design is determined by the type of research that is going to be perform and the hypothesis that is going to be tested during the development of the investigation".

Design is the means of application where after formulating the hypothesis and defining the objectives of the study, all of which must be clearly reflected explicitly in both the Project and the Final Report of the research, the researcher must then select the type of study ideal to answer the question that motivates the research, taking into consideration that generally there are more than one type of appropriate design for it
