Assignment Chapter 2

1. Recently Congress passed a bill to subsidize semi-conductor manufacturers in the US.

In response to our Chapter 2 reading assignment would this be a macroenvironment or competitive environment for a company in the US producing this product. (ie Intel, Texas Instrument, AMD, Micron....etc) On page 44 the text talks about laws and regulations. Consider the narrative written about this, would you say that is a strategic constraint on the industry or a competitive advantage?
