This research assignment aims to immerse students in a comprehensive study of diverse resort types, including beach, golf, and mountain$-$based resorts. By exploring and presenting essential metrics such as location, amenities, room capacity, room types, pricing structures, products and services, and customer profiles, students will acquire an in$-$depth understanding of the resort. This hands$-$on exploration is designed to cultivate practical insights, honing students' research, analytical, and presentation skills, providing them with a holistic perspective on wonderful world of resort management and operations.

Step $1$: Team Creation

Create a diverse teams $(4$ or $5$ students$)$ comprising of various skill sets and professional backgrounds.

Each team selection must be vetted and approved by the professor and put fit into the following resort categories $($Beach$,$ Golf, or Mountain$-$based Resorts$).$

Step $2$: Resort Selection

Each team must choose a resort in North America belonging to one of the following categories: Beach, Golf or Mountain$-$based resort.

The selected resort should be well$-$established, with sufficient information available for a comprehensive review$/$analysis$.$

Step $3$: Research Components:

Teams are required to thoroughly research and present the following aspects of the chosen resort

Amenities:

Identify and describe the resort's amenities, including accommodation options, recreational facilities, dining choices, and any unique offerings.

Location:

Analyze the geographical location of the resort, considering proximity to attractions, natural features, and accessibility.

Guest Profile:

Define the target guest profile for the resort. Investigate demographics, interests, and preferences of typical visitors.

Room Rates:

Investigate the pricing structure for various accommodations. Consider factors such as seasonality and special packages.

Products and Services:

Examine the range of products and services offered by the resort. Evaluate their quality and contribution to the overall guest experience.
