ASSIGNMENT: Peter, a licensed real estate agent, and Jane, a manager of a real estate, worked together on past real estate deals and knew each other from their business relationship. Peter gave Jane a tip that some real estate was on the market and the Jane might be interested in buying. Jane made an offer to buy the properties and, with this offer, orally contracted for a two percent commission for Peter from the seller and another two percent commission for herself. Unfortunately the deal fell through. Shortly thereafter, Jane formed another company that purchased the same property. Peter was not paid a commission as agreed upon. Peter wants to claim the commission and comes to you for assistance. What would you advise him? State clearly what principal you would use to advise him and show how your advise meets the elements of the principal.
