You are employed as a network consultant at Computer Systems and Networks Design Consultant.

An e$-$commerce business organisation is going through a major transformation because of its expansion. The expansion is due to merger of two smaller businesses to the organisation. Now, the organisation is moving to a new building having about $100$ employees. The new building is of three floors. The ground floor is for reception, foyer, and warehouse so there is a need of five data points at reception, four in warehouse and two in foyer. The $1$st floor consists of five offices and forty open plan office cubicles. The $2$nd floor consists of three rooms, each room have four office cubicles, two offices and thirty open plan cubicles. There is also a meeting room at $2$nd floor that requires four data points. Each person needs two data points at their desk whether it$$s an office, room cubicle or open plan cubicle.

TASK $1$ REPORT WRITING WITH DESIGN & PLANNING COMPUTER SYSTEMS & NETWORKS

Draw the current LAN network for the above case description.

Illustrate a new LAN or WAN topology diagram. This organisation needs a new LAN plan, design, and implementation before they move to new facility.

Write a report on a network plan and configurations having following sections:

Analyse the need for the network for above case study. Investigate and propose a suitable complete network design for the case study.

Create an appropriate framework and standards for the planned network. Write a detailed setup of network devices only for a LAN.

For example, if each sales office has less than $20$ nodes but may grow to over $30,$ what switch would you recommend meeting the current requirements?

If the headquarters segments have $30$ users each and will not grow to over $48$ nodes. Draw out the topology for a possible solution. Update the topology with Cisco products for this building WAN$/$LAN that uses switched ports and Fast Ethernet media.

Write a detailed implementation which includes configurations of each networking device which are included in the whole network.

Which category of network topology would you prose? Explain with reasons.

Which network criteria you will consider as important for the network and why?

Describe in which OSI Reference model the network device hub function and list functions of that OSI layer.

What type of network cable is proposed to be used to connect between Desktop and network device?

Identify and list the number of networking devices available in the topology diagram.

Have you proposed to use a Router device in your topology diagram, give the reason why you have or have not used a router.

Which class of IP address would you propose for the network? Propose an IP address plan for the network.

Identify & list of types of physical of topology that are used in the proposed network.

Demonstrate and compare at least $2$ configuration results which may include at least two switches$/$routers and two PCs on physical networking devices.
