Assignment Topic: Employment outcomes of Renewable Energy Technologies in India
Purpose: The purpose of this term assignment is to enable you to demonstrate your knowledge of important economic concepts and real world events and situations. This assignment aligns with the critical learning outcomes of the course.
Activity: Your group will select an energy related topic and connect this with an economics topic. You are to conduct research on your particular energy related topic so you have a good solid understanding of it. Next, you are to find articles or videos/documentaries from legitimate sources, to explain the impact of an economic topic on your chosen energy sector topic.
Set up a meeting time with your instructor to discuss your topic so she can offer you some suggestions to move forward. The due date will be set by your instructor.
You will create a voice-over power point presentation.. Since this is a research project, a considerable number of sources will need to be considered in order to fully understand the topic. I would suggest a minimum of 5 sources in addition to your textbook. Avoid Wikipedia. Feel free to contact the people in the library to assist you with topic research. A reference list should be provided at the end of the power point presentation.
Structure of Presentation: Your presentation should be approximately 10 minutes. Each group member must participate in the presentation, and presenters should use their memory or flash cards only. Reading from a script or reading from NOTES pages should be avoided. The due date will be determined by your instructor.
Structure of Power Points: Title slide must contain each group members name, course name, and the topic of the presentation. Each slide should have no more than 5 points. Each point should NOT be a sentence but rather, only a few words. (See attached file for proper slides.)
The details of the presentation should be written on the NOTES pages of the power point presentation. Proper APA formatting should be used on each NOTES pages. A reference page should be included at the end of the power point slides. The references can be put on the NOTES page. References should be APA style. (See attached file for proper APA for in-text citations on the NOTES page, and proper APA for the reference slide.)
