Determine the statistical test that is appropriate for evaluating this hypothesis and state why. Assuming that alpha = 0.05, determine the critical value of the statistic you chose above. Use SPSS to compute the sample mean. Compute the standard error by hand using the formula from Ch. 7. Compute the test statistic by hand using the appropriate formula. Decide whether to reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis. Hint, see whether the test statistic is within the rejection region or not based on the critical value.
