Assume we are studying a population of whales. We divide the population into three classes: 0-3 year olds, 3-6 year olds and 6+ year olds and assume the fecundity rates for these classes are 0, 0.45 and 0.95, respectively. We also use the following parameters as survival rates: 0.6, 0.7 and 0.33. Starting with a population of 100, out of which 30 are 0-3 year old, 25 are 3-6 year olds and 45 are 6+ year olds, use Google Sheets to compute 10 time steps (30 years) in the resulting Leslie Matrix Model. Compute the total population for each time step and make a plot of the total population against time.
