Assume you are working in an organization and you have a role to lead a negotiation meeting to inform, consult, review and finally implement a satisfactorily negotiated solution plan.

In the negotiations you MUST follow this order:

1. Introduce yourself, your organisation and the purpose of this negotiation 

2. Communicate the organisational goals and requirements

3. State what the key outcomes of this negotiations are 

4. State what the communications protocol for the organisation is (how the communications must proceed)

5. State what the barriers to communication were before and how you intend to address them in this meeting

6. State that the nature of the communication must be based on respectful communication and consideration of all including those from diverse backgrounds

7. State what you aim to do to improve the communication processes today and now

8. Offer to provide mentoring if required or appreciated to assist successful negotiations

9. Ask for feedback about communication preferences to attain successful negotiations

10. Once a negotiated settlement has been reached, state how you will implement the outcome and state which methods you will use
