EC - 2: Estimate the total motion x and y the pendulum moved during the time time it took for the bullet to come to a rest in the block. (For purposes of this estimate assume the x motion is un-constrained by the pendulum. Once you have determined the x displacement use the pendulum constraints (assuming the string length is 3 meters) to determine the y-displacement. This essentially effects the initial y-position and hence the potential energy gained
