Prepare the adjusting entry as at 31 December 2020 to record the bad debts expense assuming that the ageing schedule indicates that 2% of accounts receivable will be uncollectible. b. During January 2021, a $3,000 customer balance is written off as uncollectable. Prepare the journal entry to record the write-off. c.
