At my current job we have two evaluations of our performance so during my evaluations my managers are evaluating my performance for either a 6 month time period or the whole time ive been with the company. Prior to my two year review I was anxious, however, I also have diagnosed anxiety so I tend to get really anxious and overthink everything from evaluations, assignments to how I do my job. However the evaluation went really well and I was anxious for no good reason. My managers are really good about communicating with me. I benefited in this evaluation because I got clarity on what im doing exceptionally well with and what they would like me to do to further certain areas, along with seeing areas that ive improved. I think two pointers I will take with me is communicating and going through everything and allowing it to be a conversation because I feel that evaluations that are not treated like a conversation is where people might not feel like their side is heard.
