At the end of Michael's senior year of high school, he found out he was accepted to SDSU and decided to attend. At Michael's graduation party, his wealthy uncle Rich made him an offer: "Michael, here's a serious offer: if you don't drink any alcohol, don't smoke anything, and don't partake in any recreational drugs the entire time you're attending university until you graduate, then on the day you graduate and get your degree I will pay off any student loans you may have and give you $100,000 cash. And I'll know if you're telling the truth." Hearing this, Michael accepted the challenge. He went off to SDSU and was a good boy, abiding by his rich Uncle Rich's terms and graduating on time with his B.A. in Fashion Design. Although, a part of him quietly questioned whether the money was worth sacrificing all the fun he could have had as a "party animal." At his college graduation party, Michael received a FaceTime from Rich which he immediately answered. "Michael, I'm very disappointed in you. Although you lived up to your end of the bargain, I don't feel right paying off your loans given the degree you chose to pursue. The deal is off." If Michael sued Uncle Rich for breach of contract, what would the outcome most likely be and why? Michael would likely fail because performing his end of the deal was only for his own benefit, not for the benefit of Uncle Rich. Michael would likely succeed because uncle failed to perform his contractual duty after Michael property performed his own. Michael would likely fail because a valid contract was not formed in the first place due to the impossibility of Rich knowing whether Michael was lying or not. Michael would likely succeed because Uncle Rich explicitly stated the sincerity of the offer from the outset
