At the regional airport, it's common for owner/operators of aircraft to purchase hangars in which they will store their airplanes. They are only purchasing the building. They still have to pay a monthly rental for the land under the building. Joe's Flying Service intended to buy a hanger from Floyd's Aircraft Repair and Aluminum Screendoor Company. He and Floyd shook on the deal, but they never had any sort of a printed contract. When it came time for Joe to hand over the money for the hangar, he told Floyd, "Sorry, I found a better location on the field." Floyd's pretty upset. He wants to enforce the contract. Can he?
