The chair of the council believes that these responses follow a normal distribution with a standard deviation of 10. (a) Find a 99% condence interval for the true mean price increase. (b) The council is planning to offer assistance to residents who are facing a price increase of more than 40. Estimate the proportion of residents who will qualify under the proposed scheme. (c) Another member of the council thinks that the chair is incorrect, and the population distribution is not normal. She thinks that the council should survey more residents before making any decisions. If she is correct about the population distribution, how would that affect your result in (a)? In addition, explain how your result in (a) would be affected if the sample size was increased
