(b) A polypropylene (PP) component was found to crack when dropped. The virgin PP resin had a melt flow Index (MFI) value of 28.5 g/10min. A PP sample from a known "good" lot of parts was ground up and tested in a melt indexer. It had a MFI value of 27 g/10min (it is well within established tolerances (30%)). But a "problem" PP part showed a MFI value of 100 g/10min. Discuss 3 possible reasons for the differences in MFI values
