Background ISYS Theatre (ISYST) is a small local theatre. To improve its business, the owner of ISYST decided to hire a professional to develop a ticket reservation system for customers to reserve their tickets online. You are hired to help the owner to build the system. In an interview with the owner, you found the following information about the To-Be system. 1. ISYST currently has four screen rooms. The capacity of the screen rooms is 100,150 , 200, 250 seats respectively. ISYST may add additional room in the future. 2. The reservation system must show customers the movie information, including movie title, content rating, genre, movie length, and movie description. 3. In the system, customers can find movie schedule that specifies the movie title, screen room, and the start time. 4. Each customer should be able to make multiple reservations, but each reservation should be made by only one customer. 5. In each reservation, the customer must reserve at least one ticket, but can reserve more than one ticket. The ticket price is based on the ticket class. ISYST divides each screen room to three sections, the Front, Middle, and Upper section. The middle section is the most popular one, so the ticket price in this section is $0.50 more expensive than the other two sections. Currently, customers cannot reserve specific seats. They can only reserve tickets in a section. They can sit on any seat in the same section. Each ticket will have information shown below. a. Ticket number b. Ticket date for movie c. Movie title d. Screen room e. Movie start time f. Ticket class g. Ticket price 6. When customers make a reservation, the system needs customers' name and email to deliver e-tickets and receipts. 7. In each reservation, the system records when a customer make a reservation, so ISYST can later study customers' shopping time and adjust the promotion strategy. 8. Visit https://www.amctheatres.com/ to experience how a ticket reservation works although the scope and assumptions of this project is different. Tasks Based on the background describe above, complete the following tasks. 1. Create an entity relationship diagram (ERD) that models the ISYST ticket reservation system a. Use LucidChart or a similar tool to create the ERD b. Use proper notations on the ERD a) Entities (each entity must have a name) b) Attributes (use the camel style, e.g., CustomerID, ScreenRoom) c) Primary keys (use underline) d) Relationships with cardinalities 2. Use your ERD as a blueprint and create a database in Microsoft Access a. Create all tables and relationships 3. Populate some sample data in your database tables a. Create at least five customers b. Create at least five reservations c. Create at least five movies d. Create at least five movie schedule instances (movie title, screen room, start time) e. Create three ticket classes. The middle section is $0.50 more expensive than the other sections f. Create at least five tickets (each ticket will have data from other tables such as movie title, screen room, start time, ticket class, ticket date)
