Background:

The office manager is asking you to submit a materials budget needed to complete this project. Once your budget is approved you will begin acquiring the materials and planning your implementation.

During your planning session, you create a document to ensure easy troubleshooting and documentation of the new office infrastructure.

Lastly, you promise to test each cable run before you finish the job.

Assignment

1. Research cost for items listed in your materials list. Include at least two quotes for each item. What would you consider a reasonable budget for materials?

Consider these name brands for various items: Hubble, Fluke, Anixter, Graybar, Panduit, Siemon, and Avaya.

2. Create a naming scheme for your infrastructure. Ie. Identification for each cable run

3. Research at least 3 cable testers. Include the cost and a description of the specs associated with each device. Include testers from a variety of price points.
