Background: You work for the Association of Bankers and you represent all bankers in the GTA, who are Managers and above. Since the pandemic began in March 2020, members of the Association of Bankers have felt there has been a lack of attention paid to ensure members feel valued. Networking dinners and social events have dropped by half and the newsletter is now reduced from once a month, to once every three months. Members are not renewing their membership and are being vocal on social media.
You are tasked by your Executive Director to write a letter to members, on her behalf, to apologize for the reduction in member services, in the hopes that members stay with the Association.
Your letter is to be:
No more than one page long, with the proper format explained in class. Use any 12 font, single space like this document.
Since this is going to all members, please write this one to the first member:
Marianne Wong
Manager, ABC Bank
123 Any Street, Toronto ON, M4W 5C6
This is coming from:
Mimi Tsui, Executive Director
Association of Bankers
(assume the letterhead has the address, so you dont need to write it)
Facts you may wish to use (you decide what is best to use in this letter):
- The Association is run mainly with volunteers.
- Half of the 50 volunteers came down with Covid (over the two years) and were unable to perform their volunteer activities at the Association.
- The Association has hired (for pay) 10 additional staff members who have dedicated tasks.
- Priority is to bring back the frequency of the newsletters, build up social events.
