Based upon my perspective approximating 45 years of observing and experiencing the US legal system, its operation and application to a myriad of issues in both civil criminal matters, is it a fair and just system for its stakeholders ? i.e. plaintiffs, defendants , victims, the public, etc. Certainly every system, post inception and through its development as it matures , may require some adjustment or modication to retain its viability . In your opinion, what works well ? what are its deciencies and what needed recommendations can you offer to improve its function
