Launched in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph, Netflix offered the clients the possibility to order DVD movie rentals online and receive them in their homes. The business idea was working but Netflix was not popular, so the owners launched its subscription service. This new strategy made Netflix a success. Several years later, Netflix adapted to the new context offering a streaming service. Eventually, in 2011, Netflix change all its pricing strategy and the company was fully restructured. Some months ago, in March of 2022, Netflix launched (in some countries) a new feature called "add extra member" or "add a home". Moreover, the company is touted to provide an ad-funded tier.
