Becoming a manager is no longer about your individual accomplishments, but rather the accomplishments of your team. She should meet with her team to get to know them and find out what motivates them individually. She should take her traits into consideration when actively motivating her team. She can still be competitive and accomplish her goals, but it will come through in a different form. Setting new goals as a manager based on her team's accomplishments will help her fill her needs.
