Before posting, please conduct the following steps:

Step 1: Find an organization that works on the issue of animal therapy.

Step 2: Decide which social media site to use (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat); establish an account if you don't already have one.

Step 3: Explore ways that you can support the organization or issue of your choice, using one of the social media sites. Our Discussion site will be one source of tips from your classmates. Or ask a friend or family member to walk you through posting, liking, sharing, hashtagging, etc. on a site that you aren't familiar with. See A Student Guide to Online Activism under Readings.

First Post: 1) explain the organization that you decided to promote and describe what actions you took to promote the issue or organization through social media; 2) which platform do you feel is best for social activism? Please relate your comments to a specific idea from Chapter 8 of Soul of a Citizen, A guide to activism in the digital age or A student guide to online activism.

Second Post: Share a tip with a classmate or ask a question about using social media effectively.
