You will complete each section in the Appendix C - Promotion Session Preparation template.You will ensure that you:

  • collates ideas and information from various sources
  • cpnstruct factual and informative documentation to suit purpose communicating effectively to promote diversity and for an audience of a workplace team.
    1. You are now ready to make the presentation to support organisational efforts to champion diversity. You are required to present to an internal team about the benefits of a diverse workforce. You will use the presentation you created in Stage 1 (1.1) and the session plan you created in Stage 2 (2.1)

If you are completing this role play in a simulated environment, your Assessor will provide advice about who you can use to complete this activity. As approved by your Assessor, you may nominate two (2) work colleagues, classmates, friends or family to participate in the role of a team member. Your Assessor may choose to also act in one (1) role and carry out the observation while participating. At least one (1) participant will act as a person from a diverse background. The time allowed for the role play is 10 minutes (maximum) to present the information and interact with the attendees.

During the role play, ensure that you:

  • present information and opinions using language and non-verbal features appropriate to the audience of a staff member
  • participate in discussions using listening and questioning to elicit the views of others and to clarify or confirm understanding diversity and inclusion and diversity initiatives
  • interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • collaborate with others to achieve shared goals.
