part I: Begin with an Original Data Spreadsheet

To make the entire text of the headings show, first highlight the cells $A_3$ to $G_3$ by clicking in the middle of $A_3$ and dragging across to $G_3.$ Now find the "Wrap Text" command in the Alignment group on the ribbon and clickit. Your headings will now take several lines, but all the text should be showing. Also click the B $($bold$)$ command to bold the headings.

Now, widen the columns where necessary to make the text fit better. At the top of each column is a title le $,$ etc$)$ with boundary lines on either side. Move the cursor over the boundary line until it turns in avertical bar with a double headed arrow. Click the boundary to grab it$,$ and move it until you are satisfie then release the mouse button. You will probably want to widen the Population column until the heading on a single line, and the other headings until they fit comfortably on two lines.

The weighting variable chosen for this example is $"$# of Chili's Stores". Eating$/$Drinking & Restauran Sales $($this would be the category sales data for Chili's$)$ could also be justified. To keep us all on the sam page, follow the directions here and weight # of Chili's Stores even if you chose another factor. Chili'sh research on store vs$.$ brand sales in each market, and knows that number of stores is related to Chili's sales.

'Step $3$: Using Exhibit III from the previous exercise, enter all seven markets under the Markets head beginning with cell $A_4.$

San Antonio should be in cell A$4,$ Jacksonville in cell A$5,$ etc. Cell A$10$ should be Orlando.
