Bernadetta has lived in Atlanta, Georgia all of her life. Bernadetta never married but has one adult son, Frederick. Frederick has never married and has three children. Frederick's youngest child, Lucy, is two years old.

Recently, Bernadetta was driving in the car with Frederick and two of Frederick'schildren when they were hit by a bus. Bernadetta and one of Frederick's sons, Manuel, are killed instantly. Frederick and his other child, Garland, are taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Frederick dies three days after his mother Bernadetta. Garland dies two days after Frederick.

Bernadetta's validly executed will provides for the following distribution of her property: "$100,000 to my child; $60,000 to my living grandchildren; the rest and residue of my estate, including my cats, to the Pet Rescue."

At the time Bernadetta wrote and executed the will, she had only two grandchildren.

None of the Bernadetta's surviving relatives know which pet rescue she frequented. A local shelter owner wishes to testify in probate court that Bernadetta volunteered frequently at his animal rescue facility.
