We have had our share of problems but they have been resolved and we nowenjoy a relatively stable system. The introduction of two new systems once again createproblems for us$.$ I am sure your expertise will help alleviate many of the potentialproblems.In my previous memo I indicated that we would have to incorporate the Linux systemsfrom ABC Co$.$ and Brasco Limited into our environment. I am sure that some thoughthas already been happening towards this goal. As I reported earlier, Brasco hascompletely removed their Linux system and installed a Novell Netware system in its$$place$.$ This was not supposed to happen, but it has and we have to deal with it$.$The issue I would like resolved concerns printing to a variety of printers between thecompanies. While Big Guy and ABC Co will receive print jobs from Brasco $($and eachother$),$ Brasco will only send print jobs from their workstations.Therefore we have to be able to print to and from all three locations. You are going tohave to make it happen. For testing purposes please set up dummy printers and print toPDF files until all the bugs have been ironed out.As usual, the group leader will assemble their team and begin the documentationprocess for this project. Once again please let me make clear the point about ourdocumentation requirements. I will insist on complete, comprehensive and technicallyreadable documentation. Do not assume that the users of these documents will havetechnical expertise on any specific areas.There has, in the past, been a tendency to become lax on this point. This cannotcontinue. As our company size has now tripled we will depend heavily on thisdocumentation, as the cost of training all IT personnel would be prohibitive without it$.$Minutes of meetings, problems and their resolutions, software and reference materialand step$-$by$-$step processes must be complete and accurate. Failure to comply with thisdirective may warrant severe reprimands
