Bob and Brian are two U of M athletes who are interviewing for consulting jobs. One afternoon, they both have interviews lined up with their dream consulting company, but then they are no-shows at the interview!

Desperate for a chance to land their job, they made an email to the recruiter:

Dear Recruiter, We know that we missed our scheduled interview this afternoon and are extremely sorry. Both of us had practice this morning, and were carpooling from the practice facility to the interview when Bob's car got a flat tire! By the time we got it changed we missed our interview slot.

Working at your company is a dream job for us, so if there is any way we could schedule a time for a make-up interview, we would be most appreciative.

The recruiter reads their email and asks them to come in the next day for a make-up interview. They are put in separate rooms with two interviewers. Both interviewers start with the same question: "Which tire?"
