Bob picked up the ringing phone and said \"Good morning, this is Mighty Midgets Dog Kennel, how may I help you." A familiar voice on the other end of the line replied, "Hi Bob, this is Oprah Winfrey. I understand that you specialize in breeding and training miniature St. Bernard dogs. How many puppies do you usually have in a litter?" \"There are usually 8 or?! per litter" said Bob. Dprah paused to think before responding. She wanted to give the puppies as gifts to her staff because their com pact size and _. calm personalities would make them perfect office companions. There were a people she wanted to give them to but if there was a 9\"\" puppy she could always just keep it for herself. Then she wouldn't be the only person in the ofce without one. \"Okay Bob, I need an entire litter. 1ullr'hen can they be delivered?\" said Dprah. \"I have a dog name Sally who is due to have a litter of puppies within the next week or so\" said Bob, "then the puppies will need to be with their mother for about 3 weeks before they can be delivered." Inspired by the thought of all those cute, furry little puppies, Oprah came up with a plan. \"Bob, I can't wait that long. Here is what I want to do. I will have a special nursery set up in my ofces so Sally can live here until she has the puppies. Then my staff will be able to watch the puppies develop day by day. When the puppies are ready to be separate from Sally, I will return her to you. of course, I will have top quality food, toys, and veterinary care available at all times so you won't have to worry" said Dprah. Bob was so nervous about talking with Oprah, the famous billionaire talk show host that he couldn't think clearly. Bob finally asked "where should I bring Sally?" and Oprah gave him the delivery address. The next day, Bob delivered Sally to Oprah's office, they shook hands on the deal, and then he headed back home. Now, six months later, things have not gone exactly as expected. There were only 7 puppies in the litter so Oprah sent Bob a note saying that she is keeping Sally "because she needed 8 dogs." There was a check for $10,000 in the note which said that it was payment in full for all 8 dogs. Bob cashed the check and then sent $1,000 back with a note saying that he didn't want to sell Sally. He wanted her back. A week later, Oprah's trusted employee Rachel quit with no notice, taking Sally with her when she left. Rachel claims that Oprah gave Sally to her instead of a puppy. Oprah is demanding that Rachel return Sally so the puppies do not suffer the trauma of losing contact with their mother. Another problem was also developing. Miniature St. Bernard dogs usually weigh about 20 pounds when they are fully grown. The half-grown puppies at Oprah's office each weighed approximately 50 pounds, taking up so much space and creating so much chaos that Oprah was building a new office with special dog facilities to accommodate them.
