Brand managers integrate social media into their communication strategies through several ways. Of course advertisement thru commercials is the most common way and this includes linking these advertisements with social media platforms whether it be thru television or cable or printing venues. I remember awhile back in 2004 Southwest Airlines actually had a made for TV reality show that aired on A&E and it was all about the airlines and its employees, groundworkers, on-board personnel and yes the day to day passengers as well. The main focus of the reality show was centered on passengers and their originating flights out of Southwest Airlines. The reality series only lasted 3 seasons yet this was a good marketing tool used by Southwest Airlines. And present day Southwest Airlines is known for its commercials that can be seen on TV, cable, and social media platforms where they advertise their brand which is being known for "bags for free" and also their brand is advertised as being "a budget friendly airline without sacrificing quality or customer service." This to me is a good example of how brand managers utilize the media to effectively communicate its brand to the public
