Brief comment on the following post, agree or disagree with post: would like to discuss the 'Three Crisis Management Imperatives' article in this module discussion. Clearly COVID 19 pandemic was a wakeup call for the people, organizations, governments...etc. This article demonstrate how COVID has impacted our mindset when it comes to managing and mitigating crisis. And divided the crisis management framework into three major categories (Recalibration, Recovery & Resiliency). As a lot of organizations and agencies failed during COVID, I totally agree with the writers that a recalibration phase is essential at this point to reduce the number of threats and mitigate against risks. What was surprising to me was to know that at the time of COVID, the leaders of HHS (Health and Human Services) were accused of favoring wealthier hospital systems with the $178 billion relief fund. In my opinion, the government organizations must always treat the public equally. The main takeaway here is that crisis management plans should be always revisited and updated as we become more experienced with time and learn from past mistakes. This will put us in a better position to prevent them from happening and respond and recover faster. Really an interesting article
