The company I chose to research was snapchat. The first thing I uncovered was that snapchat is a private company so not much is known as to who currently owns the company the only thing I could find was the founders. Snapchats code of ethics includes Conflicts of Interest,Business Integrity, Disclosure of Information and more. I wasn't able to find anything that proves snapchat has violating any of their codes that were recent, anything I could find dates back by 5 years. If i had to give them a rating I was say a C because thought I haven't found anything recently I still found evidence of past violations. I wasn't able to find anything sort of "work force" that impacts them. Snapchat does have a few external factors and concerns regarding privacy and filters but the information I found was Outdated. Whether a company stays true or not to a code of ethics may influence some people's decision to do business with them. A corporate code of ethics can impact employee decisions and encourage ethical conduct, honesty, and integrity in business However, it is also possible that a company's beliefs to a code of ethics may not be the only factor considered when making business decisions
