Briefing notes are one of the ways planners communicate with executive decision-makers within their organization. The ability to clearly and concisely describe an issue and provide a recommendation is a core competency of any successful planner.

There are three question:

1. Discuss the unique elements of a preparedness plan;
2. Identify key stakeholders to engage during this phase of planning; and
3. Discuss linkages between the plan for this EM pillar and plans for other pillars.
