This could put the project at risk and could result in leaving out highly desirable requirements. Imran decided to establish a weekly user-group committee where business stakeholders would attend and answer questions and provide feedback on work in progress. Imran decided to break user groups into modules to ensure that participants felt their time was being valued. After the initial meeting, Imran recognized the need for committees to have terms of reference to guide the discussion and meeting logistics. Within two weeks of the introduction of committee meetings, the number of items in a blocked state was reduced, and the team members were feeling more confident about their work and interactions with business. A residual benefit to setting up committees was that business stakeholders became more open to ad-hoc conversations with the development team.
