Bruno Mong, a 16-year-old student, could not adapt well to the online lessons. His parents suggested that he signs up for a digital literacy course in a tuition centre to pick up digital skills.

Ms. Daphne Wong took out a brochure and explained to Bruno Mong that he should attend the Nomad Digitalisation Course ("ND Course"). The 5 full-days program includes interactive videos, quizzes, online questions, discussion forum, live videos conferences, theory on Home-Based E-Learning and digital worksheet for every participant. Ms. Daphne Wong offered the discounted fees of $1,500 for the ND Course. Bruno Mong paid $1,500 using his debit card.

On the first day of the ND Course in Digital Nomad Pte Ltd.'s training centre, Bruno Mong was seated in a cubicle with a desktop. Stringent social distancing measures were enforced, and he was given a manual on the way to access the various modules of the ND Course. The trainer played an instructional video for all the participants to watch. It was poorly produced with audio issues. Bruno Mong approached the trainer for assistance. The trainer just told Bruno Mong to play the instructional video again in the desktop to figure out the content. The instructions were unclear and after 3 hours, Bruno Mong still could not access the rest of the content. He was afraid to ask the trainer for further assistance and left at the end of the first day without learning any digital skills. He went home and felt that the course was not beneficial to him at all.
