We will be working primarily with Barbara Rivers who is a Human Resources assistant for the Holiday Inn Problem-One of the major issues within the company is the high turnover rate, benefits package, and recruiting process. Proposal Summary We propose that in order to control the turnover rate, offer more incentives to the employees. We would also like to offer a better benefits package. In the next two months we will examine the best benefits options and create new incentives they will motivate employees to stay with the company possible if the assigned task had been individually completed. Scholars will examire a patmh subject and its underlying theories, concepts, and principles. Opportunities will be provided in class to corsihtre utility of these theories in contemporary organizations. Through these considerations, scholars may drm concksims as to the applicability of these theories or parts thereof in the work sefting. Each scholar will be required b nreet tre requirements as outlined below. COURSE REQUIREMENTS A. Field Experience. A team field experience will be required of every scholar. Each team b b select a client organization that will afford them the opportunity to practice process consultation. The organizational issue or problem should be one you are comfortable engaging in and a situation for which you can conhact and complete the work during this course. All field experiences must be approved by the lnstuctor. Fietl experiences as a general rule will be outside the schola/s place of employment. Various reporb will have to be wrifien in connection with the field assignment proposal, proposed questions, intervention desigm, ard class repoG. The final field experience write up must include an assessment of outcome(s) for each phrc of ffre consultative process. This shall be presented one-week prior to semeste/s end. The teams' written report should integrate all the project work and contain most specifically he following content areas: proposal summary, contracting memo, data collection meeting summary, assessment of the feedback meeting, intervention template and your conclusions and recommendations. The paper should be prepared as you would present a written report to a client. 1. Proposal Summary (Due 3rd Week). This is a brief (1-2 page) summary of your pro1ect indicating the nature of the assignment, the organization, and the project team (scholars and client). Contacting Memo (Due # Week). This should be developed after your contracting session with the outline what you have agreed to do and how you are going to work with the organization on this project. Checklist #3 should be used to help you organize for the contracting meeting cneCruist . should be used as a checklist to guide the content. This memo is from you as the consultants to the6[en] (2-4 page lefter format), but is to be tumed in as an assignment.
