Business case

You have been hired as a consultant to metro motels for their wireless installation. Metro motel is a four story motel on the outskirts of town. The outside dimensions of the motel are 60 feet wide by 200 feet long, and each story is about 10 feet high. Each floor (except the ground floor) has 20 rooms (drywall construction). There is a central corridor with rooms on both sides. How many access points would you buy, and where would you put them? Draw the motel (using Visio or Dia) and show where the access points would go. Look at the access point placement design document on the blackboard for 802.11g access points. Assuming each access point costs $100, how would you convince the motel owner that this is a good investment? Would you recommend free wireless or a charge for it?
